Cora Ball Microfibre Catcher
The Cora Ball is a human scale solution to microfibre pollution. This fantastic invention was inspired by ocean coral, and successfully catches a third of microfibres per laundry load, helping to prevent them from entering the rivers, seas and oceans. The Cora Ball is made from 100% recycled and recyclable soft and stretchy plastic, and is designed to last for many years.
Simple to use, the Cora Ball goes into your washing machine with the rest of your laundry and instantly starts to collect and trap micro plastics and synthetic fibres as it moves around inside your machine. The Cora Ball collects these microfibres into fuzz you can see (stopping them from being rinsed away down the drain and entering the water system) to be easily collected and disposed of in the right way.

The Cora Ball is suitable for all types of washing machines, including top loaders and washer dryers and is gentle on your clothes*, a combination of soft materials and smooth round rings on the outside helping to prevent any damage occurring.
The amount of microfibre you will see in the Cora Ball will vary depending on a number of things, including the type of clothes you are washing (some types of clothes will shed more microfibres than others), whether you use a front loader or top loader washing machine, how much water you use in the wash and at what temperature, the spin speed setting, whether you use powder or liquid, and whether you use fabric conditioner.
Our current stock is yellow and green. The colour of the Cora Ball is determined by the available plastic colours in the recycling market.
*There are some items we don't recommend washing with the Cora Ball including lace, chunky knits and clothing with tassels or fraying ends.
